Kingdom Perspective - Part 5

Jun 16, 2024    Pastor Mike Hendricks

Today’s sermon was a powerful reminder of our calling as believers to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Jesus’ teachings in the Beatitudes show us the blessings that come from living a life that reflects His values:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

As followers of Christ, we are called to stand out and make a difference. Just like salt preserves and enhances flavor, we are to preserve the goodness in the world and enhance the lives of those around us. Salt also has healing properties, reminding us to be agents of healing and restoration.

Jesus also calls us to be the light of the world, shining brightly to guide others out of darkness. Our lives should reflect His truth and love, illuminating the way for others to find hope and purpose.

Persecution may come, but we rejoice knowing that our reward is great in heaven. We are strengthened by the love of God, which nothing can separate us from.

Remember, our faith should be lived out openly and boldly. Let’s be the salt that preserves and the light that guides, shining brightly for all to see. 🌍✨ #SaltAndLight #Beatitudes #BlessedToBeABlessing #SundayReflections
